MO Deathwatch

Welcome to your Adventure Log!
A blog for your campaign

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!

While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!

The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!

Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.

One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.

Cleanse Deathwatch Facility
Something is Afoot

The team was formed and tasked by their Inquisitorial leader, Charity Severus. They landed on the planet via Droppod and were instantly attacked by a Kroot hunter cadre. The Krootox shot the Inquisitor directly in the chest, felling her with a large caliber round. The remainder of the team opened fire and started cutting back the horde. To everyone’s shock the Inquisitor rose to her feet and joined the assault, unscathed through the power of her faith in the God Emperor of Mankind. She pursued a black and red armored storm trooper, detonating shell after shell inside of his body from her bolter and leaving only a fine reddish mist in the air.

They quickly moved towards the facility and cut down more Tau forces. They entered and fought through Fire Warriors and suicide drones. The team cleared the cells, noting the liquidation of all the prisoners by the automatic systems before moving towards the control room. A battle ensued between the team and a Crisis Suit Commander and his guard. The Grey Knight assaulted the Commander while the others engaged the guard. Ultramarine brother Vee’s heavy bolter quickly shortened the life of the guard while the commander fared better, removing the foot of his assailant through a fusillade of burst cannon fire. The team destroyed the Commanders suit but he escaped into the room before being destroyed in a hail of bolter fire. They were able to salvage some of the wrecked suit for study at the fortress.

They made contact with Colonel Mehmet and attempted to assist the defenders. They assessed the planet with the Inquisitorial facilities information, determining the fate of the world. They cleared the landing zone of its Anti-Air defenders and exfiltrated the planet.

Search for missing Acolytes
Pretty much ready for re-colonization, right?

An unknown party was loaned the team to find their missing Acolyte. They deployed to the world and quickly found the large chasm in the earth. They followed it down hundreds of feet, eventually breaching a thick metal plate that went on as far as they could find underneath the ground. The rocks and earth instantly gave way to a hive, one that had not been opened in many many years.

As they searched they found a devolved Tyranid specie that was similar to a hormagaunt. It was bright neon green and attacked them as soon as they detected them. They quickly dispatched them and after the carnage they found the remains of two Imperial Agents and a set of empty manacles. Through psychic will they determined the prisoner slaughtered the two Agents and escaped futyh into the decrepit hive.

They encountered another similar Tyranid offshoot that was breeding more gaunts, these night black with no deviation. They noticed that instead of eyes, they simply had antennas that looked like feelers on a moth.

They encountered a powered section of the hive and found data stacks, but were not able to remove them safely without damaging them. They quickly found the disguised entrance to what lay below the hive.

As they entered the smooth metal hallways and their equipment started to act up, buzzing and communication becoming near impossible. The encountered a large spindly flying monster made of pure silver metal that floated out of the wall. They shot it before it could close the distance, bolters hammering it until it disappeared in a green light. They found rooms filled with skeletal metal frames of inactive soldiers and other rooms that were mysteriously empty.

The energy built as they found a door leading to a perfectly circular room with a figure standing in front of an orange flickering altar. A beam of energy radiated from a pedestal of equipment, trapping a large amber crystal suspended in the air. As they walked in, the figure turned towards them, revealing a figure comprised mostly of metal augmetics. With a flash that dazzled their visors, the crystal broke free and disappeared with a haunting laugh. The figure placed an item on the floor and stepped through it, also disappearing.

After planting the remainder of their grenades in a single spot of the flawless liquid metal room, they escaped, making their way to the surface for extraction.

Energy Signature Aboard Space Hulk
Can you just Exterminatus a space ship?

The team received word from their Captain that an object had arrived out of nowhere. Date codes placed it from another Deathwatch facility, hundreds of years in the past. It had three locator beacons and coordinates that showed an empty area of space. They set out and began to survey the area. Suddenly a large Space Hulk ripped out of the Warp, an Amber power flare pulsed out from the center. It caused electrical damage throughout the Deathwatch ship, killing some of the servitors and causing immense pain to the crew. The psykers paid the worst price, nosebleeds and headaches of a near disabling level.

The team set forth, locating a viable entry point to the hulk and began their scouting. They were tasked with locating and determining the source of the power flares. They were also to attempt to gather data on the ships making up the hulk, as well as clearing any Xenos or traitors. They realized the devices that had arrived at the Watch Fortress Cypriot were Warp Location Beacons, and would aid in determining whenand where the Hulk would reappear.
